Slay the Spire 2 is the sequel to the deck-building roguelike developed by Mega Crit, whose first instalment largely defined the genre. The principle remains clear: you climb a tower floor by floor, you choose your path on a branching map and each battle is settled by playing cards limited by an energy pool. Between two fights, you add or remove cards and you pick up relics — this progressive assembly makes or breaks the run.

• Turn-based card battles — attacks, blocks and powers to play within the limit of your energy.
• A deck that builds as you play — each victory offers cards; turning down a card is sometimes the best choice.
