The game takes place during the Cold War: the Murkoff Corporation abducts vulnerable people to subject them to conditioning programmes. You are one of these test subjects, sent into recreated settings — police station, amusement park, orphanage — to accomplish objectives under the watch of pursuers that are impossible to confront. All the tension arises from this helplessness: you can only run, hide and co-operate.
