Tribes of Midgard is a co-operative action-survival game developed by Norsfell, rooted in Norse mythology. You play an Einherjar tasked with defending the village of Midgard and its World Tree against waves of creatures, as Ragnarök approaches. Each game alternates two phases: by day, you explore, gather and upgrade your equipment; by night, the hordes attack the village and you must be back to defend it.

What awaits you

• Tense day / night cycle — going further afield yields better resources, but the return to the village before nightfall is a race against the clock.
• Co-operation for up to ten players — a natural division of roles between gathering, defence and exploration.
• Mythological giants — colossi with specific resistances that demand preparation and coordination.
• Varied classes — warrior, ranger, healer, sentinel and others, to unlock and upgrade.
• Crafting and forging — weapons, armour and healing items made from the materials of the generated world.
• Two ways to play — short, intense matches, or a more relaxed mode where you build over the long term.
