Resident Evil 4 in its 2023 version is the remake of the 2005 game, made by Capcom on the RE Engine. Leon S. Kennedy, now a government agent, is sent to an isolated village in Spain to find the president's daughter, kidnapped by a cult whose members are controlled by a parasite. The game retains the original's singular balance between third-person action and horror, while deeply modernising its mechanics.
