Windows 11 Home in its Retail version is the consumer licence in its most flexible form. Where an OEM key stays welded to the motherboard of the first activated PC, a Retail licence is transferable: after uninstalling the system from the old machine, you reactivate the same key on the new one. A motherboard change or a complete rebuild of the PC does not cost you your activation, which makes it the right choice for an evolving configuration.

Activation

Your product key is sent by email within a maximum of 24 hours. Enter it in Settings > System > Activation > Change product key, then sign in with a Microsoft account in order to link the licence to that account and be able to recover it later.
