DayZ is a multiplayer survival game developed by Bohemia Interactive. You spawn on the coast of Chernarus, a devastated post-Soviet region, with almost nothing: no weapon, no food, no imposed objective. Everything is about staying alive as long as possible against hunger, thirst, disease, the infected and above all the other players, each encounter with whom can just as easily save you as kill you.

• Realistic survival — body temperature, hydration, infections, fractures and blood loss are managed separately.
• No persistent progression — on death, everything is lost and you start again naked on the coast: this is the heart of the game's tension.
