Doom Eternal is the first-person shooter by id Software, a direct sequel to Doom (2016). Earth has been invaded by demons and the Doom Slayer works his way up Hell's chain of command. The game imposes an extreme pace: ammunition, health and armour are almost never picked up from the ground any more, they are torn from enemies with the chainsaw, glory kills and the flamethrower. Standing still means dying.
