DOOM: The Dark Ages – Steam Key

DOOM: The Dark Ages is the first-person shooter by id Software that serves as a prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal. It recounts the Doom Slayer's wars in a medieval-fantasy era, before he became the legend of the following instalments. The tone changes: where Eternal relied on aerial agility, this one favours a heavier, more ground-anchored combat, built around a shield-chainsaw.

What awaits you

• Shield-saw — it is thrown, returns, blocks projectiles and serves to charge at the enemy; it is the centrepiece of the combat system.
• Parries — certain enemy shots, marked in green, are deflected with the shield, which gives a rhythm of attack and counter.
• Medieval and demonic weapons — mace, gauntlet, flail, but also firearms specific to the series.
• Open battlefields — levels wider than in previous instalments, with several routes of approach.
• Piloted sequences — passages on the back of a mechanical dragon and piloting a giant mech punctuate the campaign.
• Single-player campaign — the game is centred on a single-player experience, with no competitive multiplayer mode.

Activation on Steam

Open the Steam client, go to Games then Activate a Product on Steam and enter the key received by email. The game is added permanently to your library.

System requirements

Windows 10 or 11 in 64-bit, recent six-core processor, 16 GB of RAM and a recent dedicated graphics card compatible with ray tracing, required by the engine. An SSD and several tens of gigabytes free are necessary.
