Hades II, developed by Supergiant Games, is the sequel to the action roguelike that left its mark on the genre. You play Melinoë, witch princess of the Underworld and sister of Zagreus, trained to face Chronos, the Titan of time. The structure remains that of a roguelike: each attempt crosses a succession of generated rooms, you accumulate blessings and items, you die and you set off again from camp with resources that make the next run a little sturdier — and with new dialogue, as the story progresses with each failure.

• Fast combat in an isometric view — attacks, spells, dodges and incantations to chain together, with clear readability despite the density.
• Sorcery — Melinoë relies on magic and on a mana gauge, which clearly sets her play apart from that of Zagreus.

The game remains reasonable: 64-bit Windows, a quad-core processor, 8 GB of RAM and an entry- or mid-range dedicated graphics card are enough. The installation takes up around ten gigabytes. The game is played entirely solo, offline.
