What Project Standard lets you do

• Baseline planning — lock in the forecast to measure variances afterwards.
• Reports and timelines — visual summaries to present at steering committee meetings.

Standard or Pro

The Standard edition stays focused on the local workstation and the current project. It includes neither the resource pool shared across several projects, nor the connection to Project Server or Project Online, nor the team planner: these features are reserved for the Pro edition. If you manage your schedules on your own, Standard covers the need.

The account-linked key

The link to the Microsoft account is permanent and cannot be moved to another account. In return, you find the licence again in Services and subscriptions and can reinstall Project as often as you like on your machine after a reformat.

The activation key arrives by e-mail within 24 hours at most. Sign in to Microsoft's Office setup page, enter the key, then download and install Project 2024 Standard.
