Middle-earth: Shadow of War is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Monolith Productions, the sequel to Shadow of Mordor. You play Talion, a ranger of Gondor bound to the spirit of the elf Celebrimbor, in an original story set in Tolkien's universe. The goal: forge a ring, raise an army of orcs and storm the fortresses of Mordor.

• Recruitment and betrayal — dominate an orc to enlist them, infiltrate them into an enemy garrison, raise their rank and then watch them turn against you.
• Fortress sieges — large-scale assaults where your army faces that of a warlord, with strategic preparation before the battle.
• Combat and movement — melee combos with counters, slow-motion archery, free climbing and stealth executions.
• Varied regions — Minas Ithil, Gorgoroth, Nurnen and other areas, each with its quests, collectibles and orc tribes.

What this edition includes

The Definitive Edition brings together the base game and all the additional content released for the title: the story expansions The Blade of Galadriel and The Desolation of Mordor, the orc tribe packs and the Season Pass expansion content. It also incorporates the revisions made after release, including the removal of the microtransactions and the real-money market.

Activation on Steam

Open Steam, the Games menu then Activate a Product on Steam and enter the key received. The game and its additional content are added to your library.

System requirements

64-bit Windows, quad-core processor, 8 to 16 GB of RAM and a dedicated mid-range graphics card. The game offers a high-definition texture pack that is very demanding on video memory and can be disabled. Allow for substantial disk space, over 70 GB with all the expansions.
