Razer Surround 7.1 is an audio processing software that simulates 7.1-channel surround sound on an ordinary stereo headset, without any additional hardware. The benefit is very concrete in shooters or stealth games: better locating where a footstep, a shot or a vehicle is coming from, whereas plain stereo output only distinguishes left and right. The software works with any headset, whatever its brand.
