The Forest, by Endnight Games, is an open-world horror survival game. As the only apparent survivor of your plane crash, you search for your son on a wooded peninsula populated by a tribe of mutant cannibals. The game combines two registers: by day, a fairly classic survival — gathering wood, building a shelter, hunting, feeding yourself — and, by night or underground, a genuine horror experience, notably in the cave networks where most of the story is hidden.
