Windows Server 2022 Datacenter is the high-end edition of the 2022 generation, designed for densely populated hypervisors, clusters and hybrid infrastructures connected to Azure. It grants an unlimited virtualisation right: all the Windows Server virtual machines that the hardware can host are covered, against only two in the Standard edition.

Activation

The activation key is sent to you by email within a maximum of 24 hours. Install Windows Server 2022 Datacenter, open Settings > System > Activation and enter the key, or use slmgr /ipk then slmgr /ato in an administrator command prompt.

System requirements

64-bit 1.4 GHz processor with NX, DEP and SLAT, 2 GB of RAM minimum, 32 GB of disk space, Gigabit network card. A TPM 2.0 module and UEFI are recommended to use the secured-core functions. CALs remain required for client access.
